Our Programs > Teacher Resource Grants
Teachers — committed to the education of their students and in the best position to know what is needed — come up with good ideas all the time, but don't have the resources to fund them or the time to pursue arduous funding requirements. That's why we launched Teacher Resource Grants (more than 10,000 teachers have received them to date).
Teachers fax their one-page requests to PVF and receive a response within 48 hours. These grants can be used for classroom materials, projects, and field trips.
For the 2014-2015 school year, PVF's Teacher Resource Grants are focusing on enhancing after school programs, arts, field trips, and visiting artists.

"Sometimes small things become important miracles, especially during economically challenging times. PVF's Teacher Resource are the first grants many teachers have ever written. Obtaining funding to support their creativity shows them that there are people who understand the struggles they face, and has led many to attempt larger grant requests from other foundations." - Steve Waterman, Superintendent, Brisbane and Bayshore School Districts, Daly City California.

“I thank the foundation for making the process easy and accessible to teachers. The short application form was great! The check came within a week. The people I spoke with at the foundation were also friendly and helpful. I had tried to apply for grants in the past and was turned off by the difficult process and contact people who seemed reluctant to help. PVF has the complete recipe for a teacher-friendly grant –an easy application form, prompt mailing of check to the applicant, and easy reporting process. It is a grant well worth writing” Romelda Famorcan, Speech-Language Pathologist, Shannon Elementary School, Pinole, California
