Our Programs > After School Program Grants
“Sometimes a program's benefits extend even beyond where they are expected. Several of last spring's Mural Club participants were newcomers to the United States. They appreciated having a safe and comfortable venue for learning skills, contributing ideas, and for socializing...these students were able to learn about and connect with their new school environment in a meaningful way” – Mural Club facilitator, Pam Consear, Oakland Technical High School

"Thank you very much for the grant for our Writing Center. We were wonderfully busy at all times! We found that having a place available to meet one-on-one with our students as they revised their writing greatly improved the quality of writing our students were producing. We thank you so very much for funding this after school program that, in these times of drastic budget cuts, was needed and appreciated by many." Lisa Gallien, Oak Grove High School, San Jose, California
